Covid 19 Notice/Update for Parishes
The State Government of Western Australia has remove all mandatory restrictions related to Covid-19. The Western Australian State of Emergency has ended.
Our parish is now able to return to pre-covid protocols and procedures.
However, as the virus is still present in the community and is airborne rather than via droplet, it is still strongly recommend to practice precautions.
Please continue to practice:
- Social distancing where possible
- Maintain good personal/hand hygiene at all times
- Stay home, self isolate when unwell.
- Wear mask if needed/you are high-risk

The Western Australian Government will introduce a Level 1COVID-19 Public Health and Social Measures State-wide Restrictions from 12:01am Thursday, 31 March 2022.
Level 1 measures include:
- Mask Wearing requirements are now expanded to children in Years 3-6 in all public indoor settings (usual exemptions apply).
- Gathering limits of 2sqm square metre rule applies to places of worship including weddings and funerals.
Parish Mass/service remains open, but masks must be worn by 8 years old (Yr. 3) and above, Two (2) sqm rule must be observed.

Perth Metropolitan and Peel Region to enter into a four (4) day lockdown from 12.01am, Tuesday, 29 June 2021 until 12.01am, Saturday, 3 July 2021.
During the lockdown period:
• schools will remain open (with masks required except for primary schools children or while teaching).
• private gatherings are not permitted – visitors at home are only permitted for essential services, critical maintenance, caregiving or compassionate reasons.
• visits to hospitals are prohibited except for compassionate reasons (e.g. end of life).
• visits to aged/disability care facilities are prohibited except for essential care,
compassionate reasons and end of life advocacy.
Weddings are restricted to five (5) people. Funerals are allowed, but will be limited to ten(10) people, not including staff. Masks must be worn by all people attending a wedding or a funeral.
Religious gatherings (excluding weddings and funerals) are suspended, and places of worship in the Perth metro and Peel region are to close (with the exception of the conduct of weddings and funeral).

Announcement (7 May 2021)
The Government has announced a further easing of restrictions in Perth and Peel as planned from 12.01am, Saturday 8 May 2021, until 12.01am, Saturday 15 May 2021 subject to no further outbreaks of COVID 19.
The following will take effect from 12.01am on Saturday, 8 May 2021:
• masks will only be required in the following settings:
o public transport
o hospitals
o aged care and disability facilities
o large events with more than 1,000 people;
• a limit of four personal visitors will be permitted per patient/per day in a hospital, aged care or disability facility, with the wearing of masks as a mandatory requirement; and
• a 100-person limit in all homes, for private indoor or outdoor gatherings.
Anyone who has been in Perth or Peel in the previous 14 days, but has since travelled to another region, must also wear a mask, subject to the above conditions.
It is mandatory for places of worship and all Archdiocesan workplaces to have available the SafeWA App and/or paper based contact register for clergy, parishioners, staff, contractors and visitors.

The 4 square metre rule will be discontinued.
Contact Registers and the use of the Safe WA App (QR codes) is still mandatory and will continue as part of post-lockdown life for all places of worship, all parish offices and all archdiocesan facilities to assist in undertaking contact tracing if it is required.

URGENT NOTICE
Restrictions introduced for Perth Metropolitan and Peel Region from 6pm Thursday, 23 December 2021 until 6.00am on Tuesday, 28 December 2021. Mask wearing is now mandatory for all public indoor settings and on public transport.
At present Parish Mass/service remains open, but masks must be worn.
Please check the exposure sites list regularly and monitor your health and get tested immediately and self-quarantine, if they develop symptoms.

The Perth and Peel lockdown will end as planned at 12:01am, Saturday 3 July. Interim restrictions will be in place until 12.01am, Tuesday 6 July as part of a safe and sensible transition out of lockdown.
The following measures (relevant to place of worship) will be in place:

Eased transitional restrictions (pending health advice) from 12:01am, Tuesday 6 July until 12.01am, Monday 12 July

Perth Metropolitan and Peel Region to enter into a four (4) day lockdown from 12.01am, Tuesday, 29 June 2021 until 12.01am, Saturday, 3 July 2021.
During the lockdown period:
• schools will remain open (with masks required except for primary schools children or while teaching).
• private gatherings are not permitted – visitors at home are only permitted for essential services, critical maintenance, caregiving or compassionate reasons.
• visits to hospitals are prohibited except for compassionate reasons (e.g. end of life).
• visits to aged/disability care facilities are prohibited except for essential care,
compassionate reasons and end of life advocacy.
Weddings are restricted to five (5) people. Funerals are allowed, but will be limited to ten(10) people, not including staff. Masks must be worn by all people attending a wedding or a funeral.
Religious gatherings (excluding weddings and funerals) are suspended, and places of worship in the Perth metro and Peel region are to close (with the exception of the conduct of weddings and funeral).

Announcement (7 May 2021)
The Government has announced a further easing of restrictions in Perth and Peel as planned from 12.01am, Saturday 8 May 2021, until 12.01am, Saturday 15 May 2021 subject to no further outbreaks of COVID 19.
The following will take effect from 12.01am on Saturday, 8 May 2021:
• masks will only be required in the following settings:
o public transport
o hospitals
o aged care and disability facilities
o large events with more than 1,000 people;
• a limit of four personal visitors will be permitted per patient/per day in a hospital, aged care or disability facility, with the wearing of masks as a mandatory requirement; and
• a 100-person limit in all homes, for private indoor or outdoor gatherings.
Anyone who has been in Perth or Peel in the previous 14 days, but has since travelled to another region, must also wear a mask, subject to the above conditions.
It is mandatory for places of worship and all Archdiocesan workplaces to have available the SafeWA App and/or paper based contact register for clergy, parishioners, staff, contractors and visitors.

Public or private events involving more than 500 patrons are required to get approval from a local government authority and will need an approved COVID Event Plan.
